The tastiest spring week of the year is coming back for the spring edition of the Restaurant week!
Restaurant Week is the biggest Slovenian culinary event in which selected Slovenian restaurants participate. Its purpose is to encourage visits to various restaurants and to try their specialties at special prices or with special offers. Restaurant Weeks are popular among food enthusiasts and provide an excellent opportunity to discover new flavors and restaurants in the city.
The Spring Restaurant Week 2024 will take place from 15th to 24th of March in 111 selected restaurants. The beginning of reservations is on 4th of March on the website www.tedenrestavracij.si, with refreshed menus and reservation methods. With this year’s theme “Original, not a copy!”, the organizers highlight the distinctiveness, uniqueness, and originality of the restaurants.
The basic price of menus in 2024 is 24 euros for restaurants with a rating of 1 heart. The supplement for quality in restaurants with a rating of 2 hearts is 2 euros (menu price 26 €) and in restaurants with 3 and 4 hearts, it is 6 euros (menu price 30 €).
The event’s statistics, which record record participation of restaurants every year and attract more than 110 thousand visitors, show that it is moving in the right direction, as this year, restaurants awarded with Michelin stars, Grič, Strelec, and Hiša Linhart, are also joining the project.
New visual identity and fresh vision
This spring, Restaurant Week will also be presented in a new visual identity and with a fresh vision. The new image is clean, simple, yet distinctly recognizable. The first association we get when looking at the logo are the letters T and R, which simply emphasize the colloquial abbreviation of the project’s name. The freshness and modernity are also reflected in the color scheme, which follows the vibrations of the seasons and creates a pleasant aesthetic experience throughout the year: the primary blue color acts as a connecting element, pink follows the events of the spring edition, and yellow represents the autumn editions of Restaurant Week.
Original, not a copy
“The emphasis of Restaurant Week in 2024 is originality. We select restaurants that stand out, that are special and different, and because of that, they are better than average. We don’t go to Restaurant Week for a quick bite due to hunger, or for a daily lunch out of boredom. We go to Restaurant Week for an experience that is special precisely because it’s not the same everywhere. Originality in Restaurant Week menus is therefore obvious, or has been the reason for the visit from the very beginning. The reason we particularly emphasize originality this year is on the other hand. Although we have many excellent restaurants in Slovenia, daily dining is too superficial and generic. The blame is not only on restaurateurs but also on their guests. Both of us are not original enough! That’s why we want Restaurant Week to prove otherwise. Selected Quality Slovenia
Once again, the Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Food joins Restaurant Week with Slovenian meat producers and processors, presenting themselves with the promotional campaign “selected quality – Slovenia“. Restaurateurs are invited to label quality Slovenian, certified beef, and poultry meat from the “selected quality” scheme on their menus with the “selected quality – Slovenia” label. Restaurant Week, the Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Food, and Slovenian meat producers and processors aim to promote the greater use of local ingredients in Slovenian taverns and restaurants through joint promotion.
