This year marks the milestone 10th anniversary of the Nikola Tesla EV Rally Croatia, set to take place from May 19th to May 28th, 2023. With an exhilarating program, this edition promises to be the best one yet! The rally will commence its journey from the picturesque harbor front of the medieval town of Rovinj, immersing participants in the captivating beauty of Istria’s hilly hinterland. Along the route, drivers will have the opportunity to indulge in oil and wine tasting, accompanied by a delightful lunch overlooking the scenic vineyards.

On the second day of the rally, drivers will push their skills and electric cars to the limit on a private airport strip in Vrsar. Following this thrilling test, they will navigate the roads of central Istria, meandering through a Tuscan-like landscape adorned with fortified hilltowns. As the quiet cars make their way through enchanting surroundings, evenings will be spent in a luxurious 5-star hotel, where participants will be treated to exquisite local delicacies, creating the perfect atmosphere to gauge the range and capabilities of their electric vehicles.

While the event bears the name of Nikola Tesla EV Rally, it is not exclusively reserved for Tesla cars. Named in honor of Nikola Tesla, the Croatian-born inventor, participants with any electric vehicle are welcome to join the rally and put their vehicles to the test along “The Green Electric Highway.” This route offers charging stations at strategic and intriguing locations. After a full day of exhilarating driving, the racing day concludes at a splendid 5-star hotel located just outside the UNESCO World Heritage city of Split. Along the scenic coastal route, a stopover in the charming city of Crikvenica awaits.

Continuing along the dramatic Dalmatian coastline, the following day sees the rally cross the brand new bridge to Pelješac island, where drivers will explore its captivating landscapes, including the stunning sinkholes known as Blue Lake and Red Lake. Returning to the mainland, the fifth day of the rally takes participants northward to yet another UNESCO World Heritage site, the fortified island town of Trogir.

The Nikola Tesla EV Rally Croatia is not solely focused on racing; it also invites participants to relax and savor the richness of Croatian culture and nature. Designated as Relax Day, the sixth day of the rally allows drivers and their cars to recharge by the beach or visit the nautical paradise of Kornati National Park.

The subsequent day challenges drivers to push their cars and personal driving skills to the limit at the Višnjik Sports Centre in Zadar, where a “Skill Exam” awaits. Afterward, participants will explore the charming old town of Zadar, with their vehicles showcased along the waterfront promenade near the awe-inspiring solar panel and light art installation known as “Greeting to the Sun.”

On the final Race Day, the rally ventures to Krka National Park, where participants embark on a boat tour, marveling at its magnificent natural waterfalls. The rally’s last leg spans a mere 40 kilometers and concludes in Šibenik, the cradle of Croatian culture. At the iconic St. John’s Fortress, towering above the UNESCO World Heritage town and offering breathtaking views of the Dalmatian seascape, the official award ceremony takes place. While the winner of Nikola Tesla EV Rally Croatia 2023 will be celebrated, all participants will bring home the most cherished trophy of all: lifelong memories.

This luxury e-tour serves as a testament to Croatia’s commitment to promoting itself as an “e-mobility friendly” tourist destination, showcasing its natural beauty and cultural heritage to enthusiasts from around the world.
