Founded in 1825, Laško is by far the most popular beer in Slovenia, while the green logo of its Zlatorog lager is one of the most common sights in bars, pubs, restaurants and cafés across all of the former Yugoslav states.

With some 300 filling stations in Slovenia and nearly 500 in total across the former Yugoslav states, Petrol’s name is literally synonymous with its primary product. It’s also Slovenia’s largest company with more than €4bn in revenue annually.
Triglav
It’s somehow fitting that the largest insurance and financial group in Slovenia take its name from the country’s symbol and highest peak, Mt Triglav. Founded in 1900 in Ljubljana, it now has more than 5,000 employees.

There’s no shortage of mineral water in Slovenia, but only one label can bubble to the top, and that is the three hearts of Radenska, which was designed in 1931 and symbolises the three former nations of the Kingdom of Yugoslavia (Serbs, Croats and Slovenes).
