This relatively new winery is located amidst picturesque vineyards, just above the town center east of Slovenske Konjice, and boasts modern, state-of-the-art facilities. From the grapes, they produce premium wines and sparkling wines. And although the winery itself is new, the tradition of winemaking in this area dates back an impressive eight centuries.
The wine cellar and visitor center are located at the entrance to the vineyards in a large, contemporary building, mostly underground, blending seamlessly with the landscape. Visitors can tour the cellar and enjoy tastings of their regularly awarded sparkling wines and still wines.
On the other side of the hills, golf enthusiasts will find a nine-hole course which, despite its size, offers a challenge even to experienced players. And if you fall in love with both the landscape and the wine, you can stay overnight in three apartments set in a centuries-old wingrover’s mansion, perched on a dominant position in the middle of the vineyards – a setting that looks like something out of a painting or a film. The surrounding countryside is also worth exploring: highlights include the fairytale Žiče Charterhouse, the spa town of Zreče, and the nearby sports and recreation center Rogla.
Between the vineyards, the winery, and the golf course, you’ll also find Gostilna Zlati grič, a restaurant that combines fine cuisine with breathtaking views. Guests can enjoy everything from simple lunches and dinners to elaborate tasting menus or homemade desserts accompanied by a glass of premium wine.
