The Slovenian Tourist Board (STB) in cooperation with Julian Alps presents the first one time event promoted with a new NFT (non-fungible token) collection: The Ultimate Julian Alps Sensory Adventure powered by blockchain technology as tourism promotion activity. Sustainable gastronomy at its best

Slovenian cuisine impresses with local ingredients and sustainable approach, which is, thanks to the creativity of the chefs, wrapped up in amazing gastronomy stories. Sustainability on the plate is also one of the key characteristics of Slovenian cuisine, which is being celebrated and awarded. As many as 6 restaurants were awarded the Michelin Green Star for sustainability and numerous restaurants have been awarded with the Slovenian Green Cuisine label, which highlights their commitment to sustainability principles in gastronomy, which bring forth the importance of short supply chains. The new video featuring world-renowned Slovenian chef Ana Roš from the two-starred Michelin restaurant, Hiša Franko, unveils exactly this.

Planica, the host of FIS Nordic World Ski Championships 2023

It is less than 150 days left until the FIS Nordic World Ski Championships Planica 2023 will start. From February 21 to March 5, Planica and Kranjska Gora will turn into the venue of the biggest sporting event in the history of the Republic of Slovenia.

Slovenia, Guest of Honour at the International Book Fair in Frankfurt

In Slovenia, around 6000 book titles are published every year, which ranks it in range with Scandinavian countries and the UK. What is more, Slovenia has one of the best organised library systems in Europe, which results in around 12 borrowings per capita, and more than 150 bookstores and 3 bookstore chains – compared to the fact that we are a nation of only two million, these numbers are really impressive. This is why it comes as no surprise that Slovenia will be the Guest of Honour at the International Book Fair in Frankfurt 2023 and in Bologna a year later.
