Popular Channel 5 series The Wonderful World of Chocolate comes to Slovenia with an episode dedicated to the Teta Frida chocolate manufactory and the luxury Chocolate village by the River glamping resort in Maribor.
Now in its third season, The Wonderful World of Chocolate is a unique documentary series exploring the fascinating history of chocolate as well as eye-popping factory tours. Having premiered in the UK on Sunday the 14th of February, the episode is also scheduled to air in countries around the world including the United States and Australia.
The episode follows two chocolate-obsessed Brits as they spend a couple of days at the Teta Frida (Aunt Frida) Chocolate Village indulging in what is undoubtedly Slovenia’s most chocolate-filled adventure. Having encountered chocolate breakfast, chocolate cosmetics and even chocolate alcohol on arrival, the pair then visit the chocolate factory of Teta Frida for a tour and chocolate workshop.
The trip ends with a chocolate jacuzzi and chocolate massage before a private chef cooks up a variety of unique chocolate-based dishes including cod with white chocolate, and steak with port sauce and dark chocolate.
Maribor’s Chocolate Village by the River has already proven popular with global media including the Independent who visited in 2019 and described it as a luxurious glamping site that is a ‘paradise for chocoholics’.
