Beneath the southern slopes of Lisca, in the heart of the Posavje winegrowing region, lies the Mastnak – Frelih Winery, where fresh and youthful sparkling wines are created, enchanting with their elegance and authenticity. The sparkling wines are produced mainly from Pinot Noir and Chardonnay, which thrive on the steep slopes of Zajčja Gora above Sevnica, offering ideal conditions for growth and development. The unique terroir, combined with the dedication of the winemakers, ensures the top quality of every bottle.
A special story, which has become a true attraction, is the submersion of sparkling wine in the Sava River. For the past 11 years in a row, 300 bottles of Savus sparkling wine have been placed to age beneath the river’s surface, where the stable temperature and unique natural conditions create a one-of-a-kind experience in every glass.
Tastings and Experiences in the Cellar
The Mastnak Winery is not only a place of production but also a place for gathering and enjoying wine. Visitors can take part in wine tastings, enriched with traditional local delicacies – including the famous salamis from the annual Sevnica Salami Festival. The winery also offers a cozy space for celebrations, events, and gatherings, where wine plays a special role in connecting people.
A New Partnership – An Expanded Selection
In February 2023, the winery entered into a partnership with entrepreneur Franc Frelih from Mirna, which opened new opportunities and expanded the offer. Today, visitors at the Vina Mastnak shop can find not only sparkling wines but also:

- and a wide range of other alcoholic and non-alcoholic products under the Dana brand, which perfectly complement the winery’s story.
