The Istrian marathon is the run with the sea view.
More than half of the course runs by the sea connecting four cities on the Slovenian seaside (Piran, Izola, Koper, and Ankaran).
The specialty of this marathon is that each year the event is organized in one of these Mediterranean cities. This year it is hosted by Ankaran and its beautiful green surroundings – a great opportunity for an active weekend or short holiday. The event will be going between 4th and 5th April.
The registration is limited to 5000 runners who can choose between recreational run (10 km), half marathon (21) or marathon (42 km). The Istrian marathon is a festive event with plenty of activities including a concert of a local band, and Istrian fair – a fair of sports goods and local food.
