Flautist Jurka Zoroja is an established soloist, chamber musician and teacher who studied with Boris Čampa in Ljubljana before completing postgraduate studies in Dresden. She currently divides her time between performing as a soloist and running a private music school, where she places special emphasis on creativity and improvisation. She shares the stage with the Ensemble Dissonance, which brings together leading musicians from Slovenia’s foremost orchestras and teaching institutions, united by a quest for new approaches to chamber music. The ensemble functions as a dynamic platform interweaving the classical repertoire, new Slovene works, collaborations with artists from Slovenia and abroad and the rich history of chamber music in Ljubljana. The ensemble’s name derives from String Quartet No. 19 in C major by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, famously nicknamed “Dissonance”.
