Ljubljana Fashion Week 2025 (16.10 – 19. 10. 2025): Where Tradition Meets the Future of Fashion

Ljubljana once again proves that it has earned its place among the fashion capitals of Central Europe. Ljubljana Fashion Week (LJFW) 2025, held at the Glass Hall (Steklena dvorana) of the Ljubljana Exhibition and Convention Centre, brings together creativity, craftsmanship, and innovation over four days of vibrant fashion shows, discussions, and artistic events.

This year’s edition celebrates the diversity of European design, with established names sharing the runway with emerging voices and regional collectives. From bold silhouettes to refined tailoring, LJFW 2025 unfolds as a vivid dialogue between tradition and modernity — a true reflection of Slovenia’s evolving creative identity.

Below is a detailed look at each day of the event, capturing the pulse of this year’s program.

DAY 1 — Thursday, October 16

The evening begins with JSP, followed by Ana Jelinič x Katja Magister (6:00 PM), Things I Miss (6:30 PM), and Anselma Štoff (7:00 PM). The rhythm continues with Barbara Vrbančič (7:30 PM) and the BCEFW Collective Show (8:00 PM), featuring Fannilszl, Valentin Szarvas, and Winna, reinforcing LJFW’s growing collaboration with the Budapest fashion scene.

At 8:30 PM, the LIDL Collection surprises with its accessible approach to design, blurring the boundaries between high fashion and everyday wear. The second day begins with reflection rather than the runway. At 1:30 PM, the panel “Global Vision, Local Voice” brings together designers, curators, and strategists to discuss challenges and opportunities for Central European fashion abroad. Admission is free, emphasizing LJFW’s educational and cultural mission.

Evening shows begin at 5:30 PM with Maja Štamol, followed by Patricia Pie (6:00 PM), Renata Bedene (6:30 PM), and PRINCIP for AKINORACELIN (7:00 PM). Later, Timotej Bistan (7:30 PM), MASS (8:00 PM), natasahrupic (8:30 PM), and Heineken Select (9:00 PM) take the stage, offering an eclectic mix of commercial edge and avant-garde craftsmanship. The evening closes with Simona Kogovšek (9:30 PM), Lan Krebs (10:00 PM), and the Heineken After Party (10:30 PM).

All fashion shows require tickets or invitations, while the panel discussion remains open to the public.

DAY 4 — Sunday, October 19 (NTFashion Day)

The week concludes with the LJFW WOW Awards Ceremony (9:00 PM), where the most innovative collections and standout moments of the week are honored. Admission to the awards is free.

SIDE EVENTS

The post-week program extends the creative conversation beyond the catwalk. On Tuesday, October 21, from 4:00 to 7:00 PM, the LJFW Showroom opens at the Slovenian Philharmonic (Kongresni trg 10). The event, free of charge, invites buyers, journalists, and visitors to engage directly with designers and view collections up close.

Running from October 9 to 30, the exhibition “My Pictures Speak Because I Can’t” by Hungarian fashion photographer Adam Jelen will be on view at the Liszt Institute (Barvarska steza 8, Ljubljana). The show, free to visit during the institute’s opening hours, highlights fashion photography’s power to shape narratives beyond the runway.

A Week of Style and Substance

Ljubljana Fashion Week 2025 is more than a showcase — it’s a platform for creativity, collaboration, and critical reflection on fashion’s role in culture. Between Brda’s vineyards and the capital’s cobbled streets, Slovenia continues to foster a unique design voice that blends artistry with authenticity.

Whether you’re a fashion professional, student, or enthusiast, LJFW offers a front-row look at the future of Central European fashion — where craftsmanship meets vision, and every collection tells a story worth remembering.
