MANIFESTO OF SLOVENIAN GASTRONOMY

THE SLOVENIA FOOD MANIFESTO

This Manifesto was carefully prepared jointly by chefs, food experts and food lovers. We are challenging Slovene food culture and all of our understanding of what Slovene cuisine represents. We strongly believe that the time has now come for us to create a Manifesto for Slovenia, which, as a result of its incredible flavours at the crossroads of several world-famous cuisines, is on par with the standards of the greatest cuisines of the world. We celebrate real food, and respect and preserve local natural resources, communities and craftsmanship, which promotes authentic interaction with one another.

THE GASTRONOMIC REGION:

We are all welcome at the table! Let us join forces and bring together the best of gastronomy: food lovers and guests, chefs and restaurateurs, journalists and opinion makers; producers of food and agricultural products; associations, retail and wholesale industries; academics, politicians and the authorities that be. Let us unite, with this project, to bring good food, health and exceptional experiences to everyone living in and visiting Slovenia.

THE VISION:

Inspire joy in the experience of Slovenia’s foods and flavours everywhere.

THE AMBITIONS: Cook and eat tastier, healthier and more responsibly.
