THE SLOVENIA FOOD MANIFESTO

This Manifesto was prepared jointly by chefs, food experts and food lovers. We are challenging Slovene food culture and all of our understanding of what Slovene cuisine represents. We strongly believe that the time has now come for us to create a Manifesto for Slovenia, which, as a result of its incredible flavours at the crossroads of several world-famous cuisines, is on par with the standards of the greatest cuisines of the world. We celebrate real food, and respect and preserve local natural resources, communities and craftsmanship, which promotes authentic interaction with one another.

 THE GASTRONOMIC REGION:

We are all welcome to the table! Let us all join forces and bring together the best of gastronomy: food lovers and restaurant guests, chefs and restaurateurs, journalists and opinion makers, associations, agriculture and food producers, retail and wholesale industries, professors and researchers, politicians and authorities on this project for the benefit and advantage of good food for everyone living in and visiting Slovenia.
