The innovative VR\u00a0 (virtual reality) product<\/a>\u00a0gives the user the power to influence the course of history with his actions, and offers an opportunity to get to know the colorful Middle Ages, the time of mighty Counts of Celje.<\/p>\n

The idea about the interactive VR experience which changes the course of history at\u00a0Celje Old Castle<\/a><\/strong>\u00a0was awarded by the Slovenian Tourist Board at the Days of Slovenian Tourism in 2017, when the 1st hackathon for creating new, innovative, 5-star experiences was held.<\/p>\n

It took more than a year to develop the idea and the concept. It was brought together by a team of passionate individuals, most of them came from Thermana La\u0161ko. The idea was also tested on the guests of this spa resort for the first time.<\/p>\n

The innovative product gives the user the power to influence the course of history with his actions, and offers an opportunity to get to know the colorful Middle Ages, the time of mighty Counts of\u00a0Celje<\/a><\/strong>\u00a0and the story of the tragic love between Friderik and Veronika.<\/p>\n

Since the interactive VR experience takes place in the highly elaborate environment of the Celje Old Castle, the product placement into the largest castle fort in Slovenia \u2013 the Old Castle of Celje \u2013 was something logical to do. This is why this unique VR experience is now part of the\u00a0Live History<\/a><\/strong>\u00a0project, which takes place at the castle each weekend until autumn.<\/p>\n

The product also received another award: the Celje Regional Chamber of Commerce gave the innovators a silver award and recognized the project as an innovative move.<\/p>\n
