Bohinj a unique, charming, wonderfully mysterious<\/h2>\n

BOHINJ \u2013 A UNIQUE, CHARMING, WONDERFULLY MYSTERIOUS region in Slovenia, the Alps and Europe. Bohinj is located in the heart of the Julian Alps. The most extensive and highest mountain range in Slovenia is also the most south-eastern part of the Alps.\u00a0Bohinj encompasses the valley of Nomenj, the Upper and Lower Bohinj Valleys, lake basin, the Pokljuka and Jelovica plateaus and a high mountain range.\u00a0<\/p>\n

The most recognisable and astonishing natural site is Lake Bohinj, the biggest lake in Slovenia.\u00a0The twenty-four villages in and above the valley hide the attractive riches of the past, the cheerfulness of the present and the mystery of the future.<\/p>\n

SALUTE TO TRIGLAV<\/strong>
6.7.2019, 13.7.2019, 20.7.2019 at 8 pm and 27.7.2019 at 7 pm @Monument of the Four Brave Men, Rib\u010dev Laz, Bohinj<\/p>\n

Every Saturday in July in August you are invited to the monument of the Four Brave Men at 8 pm, where you can taste the local culinary of Bohinj and enjoy in the performances of various music performers. At the conclusion of the concert, we will salute Triglav with a trumpet.<\/p>\n

EVENINGS UNDER THE LINDEN TREE<\/strong>
8.7.2019, 15.7.2019, 22.7.2019, 29.7.2019 at 8:30 pm @Village centre in Srednja Vas, Bohinj<\/p>\n

Mondays in July and August are reserved for spending quality time under the linden tree, in the village center of the Srednja vas. Traditional dance and music shows old village customs, and you can also experience Bohinj through excellent home-made food that will be served at the event. The event is free of charge.<\/p>\n

NOCTURNAL VISITS TO ONE’S SWEETHEARTS<\/strong>
26.7.2019 at 6 pm @Village centre in Srednja Vas, Bohinj<\/p>\n

The event revives the old Bohinj customs of dating and has an extremely long tradition that we want to preserve for future generations. With the fun adventures shown on the Nocturnal visits to one’s sweethearts, the boy succeeds in conquering the girl, so his friends prepare him a bachelor party. This year\u2019s event will be a bit different, since we will also host Clash of the accordions, where Miha Debevec and Dejan Ku\u0161er will perform.<\/p>\n

RURAL WEDDING<\/strong>
27.7.2019 at 20 pm @Event area Pod Skalco, Rib\u010dev Laz, Bohinj<\/p>\n

The traditional event, the Rural Wedding, presents the old marriage customs, which for centuries were practiced at the wedding rituals. The event contains all the elements of a traditional wedding where you will witness pranks, \u0161ranga, procession and the cultural part of the program with dances, dialogues and Bohinj tales and customs.The event is suitable for all lovers of customs, folklore, dance and homeliness. This year, we will have a real wedding, where Petru\u0161ka and Bo\u0161tjan will be married, accompanied by a rich musical program!<\/p>\n
