{"id":42168,"date":"2021-01-19T07:48:13","date_gmt":"2021-01-19T06:48:13","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/the-slovenia.com\/?p=42168"},"modified":"2021-01-19T08:31:25","modified_gmt":"2021-01-19T07:31:25","slug":"gault-millau-slovenia-2021","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/the-slovenia.com\/en\/best-slovenian-restaurant\/gault-millau-slovenia-2021\/","title":{"rendered":"Gault &#038; Millau crowns Hi\u0161a Denk, Hi\u0161a Franko and Gostilna pri Lojzetu as top culinary destinations in Slovenia"},"content":{"rendered":"<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">The new Gault &amp; Millau culinary guide has further cemented the position of three restaurants, Hi\u0161a Denk, <a href=\"https:\/\/the-slovenia.com\/restaurants\/hisa-franko\/\">Hi\u0161a Franko<\/a>, and Gostilna Pri Lojzetu, as top culinary destinations in Slovenia, after the three had already received excellent scores in the country&#8217;s <a href=\"https:\/\/the-slovenia.com\/slovenia\/michelin-stars-in-slovenia\/\">first Michelin guide in 2020<\/a>. <\/h2><p><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/the-slovenia.com\/restaurants\/hisa-denk\/\">Gregor Vra\u010dko of Hi\u0161a Denk <\/a><\/strong>in Zgornja Kungota was <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/the-slovenia.com\/restaurants\/hisa-denk\/\">named chef of the year 2021 <\/a><\/strong>by Gault &amp; Millau, while his restaurant received four toques, the highest possible score in the Gault &amp; Millau guide. Hi\u0161a Denk and Pri Lojzetu each have <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/the-slovenia.com\/slovenia\/michelin-stars-in-slovenia\/\">two Michelin stars<\/a><\/strong>, while <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/the-slovenia.com\/restaurants\/hisa-franko\/\">Hi\u0161a Franko became the first and only restaurant in Slovenia <\/a><\/strong>to get the highest Michelin score of three stars in June. <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/the-slovenia.com\/restaurants\/hisa-franko\/\">Ana Ro\u0161 <\/a><\/strong>is the proud holder of two Michelin stars.<\/p><p>Five other restaurants also received the four toques rating: Hi\u0161a Franko in Kobarid and <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/the-slovenia.com\/restaurants\/gostilna-pri-lojzetu-dvorec-zemono\/\">Gostila pri Lojzetu in Vipava<\/a><\/strong>, as well as <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/the-slovenia.com\/restaurants\/osterija-debeluh\/\">O\u0161terija Debeluh in Bre\u017eice<\/a><\/strong>, <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/the-slovenia.com\/gastronomy\/restavracija-mak\/\">Restavracija Mak in Maribor<\/a><\/strong> and <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/the-slovenia.com\/restaurants\/restavracija-strelec\/\">Restavracija Strelec in Ljubljana<\/a><\/strong>.<\/p><p><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/the-slovenia.com\/restaurants\/gostilna-repovz\/\">Grega Repov\u017e of Gostilna Repov\u017e in \u0160entjan\u017e <\/a><\/strong>was named the best sommelier of 2021. The restaurant also received the Bib Gourmand designation by from Michelin for exceptionally good food at modest prices.<\/p><p>The best patisserie award went to Fetiche Patisserie in Ljubljana. The popularity award went to Wine Bar \u0160uklje in Ljubljana.<\/p><p><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/the-slovenia.com\/restaurants\/gostilna-mihovec\/\">Mojca Trnovec of Gostilna Mihovec in Zgornje Pirni\u010de<\/a><\/strong> was named the best traditional cuisine chef, while <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/the-slovenia.com\/restaurants\/gostisce-gric\/\">Luka Ko\u0161ir of Gostilna Gri\u010d in \u0160entjo\u0161t nad Horjulom was named the best chef of the future<\/a><\/strong>.
