The Walk of Peace, a hiking trail from the Alps to the Adriatic Sea, connecting places with natural and cultural heritage is receiving international attention. The Walk of peace was now featured on the acclaimed Lonely Planet guide’s website.<\/strong><\/h2>

In an article, journalist Alex Crevar outlines the Slovenian landscapes that cross the path from the So\u010da Region to the Adriatic coast, along with the main sights along the way and tips for the holidays – the vineyards of Brda, the Kobarid Museum and the Peace Monument on Cerje.<\/p>

The new Walk of Peace hiking trail connects the Alps to the Adriatic Sea along the former WWI frontline that once straddled the mountainous border between today\u2019s Slovenia and Italy. However, the 11-stage route, which extends approximately 220km and passes through villages, under peaks, past glacial lakes, and across pristine rivers, is more than a trekking path. It is also a living history lesson, a string of museums and memorial sites, and a rolling food-and-wine experience. <\/p>
