This weekend we remember one of our <a href=\"https:\/\/the-slovenia.com\/top-slovenian-poet-france-preseren\/\">Top Slovenian poets, France Pre\u0161eren<\/a> with a national holiday in his memory. Read below about the hand-picked events and pick your favorite event to visit and enjoy!<\/p><p><strong>Till the 8th of February &#8211; Women Economic Forum<\/strong><\/p><p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.wef.org.in\/\">Women Economic Forum (WEF)<\/a>\u00a0is a three-day event with the slogan and theme: \u201c<strong><em>Power of the Pack; Women trustfully supporting Women<\/em><\/strong>\u201d.\u00a0<\/p><p>The organizers of the\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.wef.org.in\/\">Women Economic Forum \u2013 Slovenia<\/a>\u00a0expect more than 200 women, supportive men, and young leaders to join us over the two days including around 150 speakers from more than 30 countries. <\/p><p><strong>Read more about the event, <a href=\"https:\/\/the-slovenia.com\/women-economic-forum-slovenia-2020\/\">here<\/a>. <\/strong><\/p><p><strong>Till 15th of February &#8211;  Simon Boccanegra <\/strong><\/p><p> A compelling psychologic portrait of one\u2019s will to power, immersed in Verdi\u2019s dramatic music will be held in Maribor. <\/p><p><strong>Read more about the event, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.sng-mb.si\">here<\/a>. <\/strong> <\/p><p><strong>8th of February &#8211;  <a href=\"https:\/\/the-slovenia.com\/top-slovenian-poet-france-preseren\/\">Pre\u0161eren Fair <\/a><\/strong><\/p><p>In the memory of <a href=\"https:\/\/the-slovenia.com\/top-slovenian-poet-france-preseren\/\"><strong>the greatest Slovenian poet, France Pre\u0161eren<\/strong><\/a>, Kranj honors the national day of culture with many events. <\/p><p>In front of the Kranjska Hi\u0161e, there will be a meeting place for anyone who wishes to attend the guided tour of the town, called Kranj in Your Heart, as well as a tour of the Tunnels beneath the historic town center. You will have the chance to ride a carriage through the streets and children will be able to ride a real pony. The townhouses will host many events. Although you can visit the attractions along the path year-round, it is a particularly special experience to do so on Pre\u0161eren\u2019s Day, when you can join hundreds of others visitors, locals and those from further afield, to walk the path, find out more about life in the top Slovenian poet\u2019s time, and feel a part of Slovenia\u2019s cultural heritage.
