Miro studied winemaking in Italy and Ljubljana and his ever- growing knowledge and successful expansion of the vineyard earned him several awards and honourable membership of the Brda Municipality and Italian Academy of Vine and Wine. Today, the three hectare estate, which lies in the heart of magnificent Gori\u0161ka Brda, is run by Medot<\/p>\n<p>Miro\u2019s son Igor and grandson Simon who preserve the precious heritage that Miro established throughout his life. The vines themselves are now more than four decades old and thrive in the perfect conditions of the location\u2019s microclimate, altitude and rich soil.
