This family-run distillery and chocolate factory offers visitors a one-of-a-kind experience where premium spirits, handcrafted chocolate, and the beautiful nature of the Dolenjska region come together.<\/strong><\/p><p>Behind the Berryshka brand is the Kenda family, whose story dates back to the 1990s, when Jo\u017ee and Samo Kenda revived an old abandoned distillery on the outskirts of the Ko\u010devje primeval forest. Initially focused on the production of essential oils, the distillery later evolved into a broader story \u2013 the creation of premium spirits, liqueurs, and chocolate products that today receive recognition at international competitions.<\/p><h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Distillery tour \u2013 from idea to premium spirit<\/strong><\/h2><p>A visit to Berryshka begins with a guided tour of the distillery, where visitors learn about the process of crafting their spirits and liqueurs. As they walk through the production areas, guides present the story behind the products and showcase traditional copper stills used in the distillation process. A special feature of their production is that many steps are still carried out manually, adding authenticity to the final products.<\/p><p>Among their offerings are various fruit liqueurs, gin, juniper brandy, and other spirits inspired by the surrounding forests and local fruits.
