For the second consecutive year, ALEJA has been voted the best shopping destination by readers in the Best of Ljubljana competition in 2024. Once again, it has proven to be the winner among the strong competition of the top ten well-established shopping centers in Ljubljana and its surroundings. “ALEJA has been striving from the beginning to be recognized not only as the most modern but also as the best shopping destination. I am pleased that readers of In Your Pocket have recognized this for the second year, and we will continue to strive for ALEJA to be synonymous with a contemporary shopping experience in Slovenia and beyond,” explains ALEJA’s director, Toni Pugelj.<\/p>
In a short period, ALEJA has already earned many prestigious titles. It is the first shopping destination in Slovenia to receive an award for design and development, presented by the European Shopping Centre Association (ESCP). In London, they won the Global RLI Award in the category of International Shopping Centers – new builds, surpassing other finalists from Serbia, Italy, and China.<\/p>
ALEJA stands out as the best among shopping destinations with its unique architecture, modern concept, and exceptional offerings for shopping and leisure. It spans 32,000 m\u00b2 with over 80 stores, excellent gastronomy, a 6,200 m\u00b2 sports and recreational area at ALEJA SKY, and a dynamic cycling park. The award serves as recognition for their commitment to creating a vibrant shopping destination where you can combine culinary experiences, leisure activities, socializing, sports, and entertainment in one place.<\/p>
There is always something happening in ALEJA throughout the year. Currently, they are delighting visitors with a 1000 m\u00b2 ice rink and a 140-meter-long ice path around it. It is the only ice rink above the city and in Ljubljana itself. To enhance the skating experience, they also provide a lively atmosphere on Saturdays with free skating hours. In the spring and summer months, ALEJA SKY comes alive with a sports and entertaining atmosphere. For several years, they have been organizing unforgettable concerts under the stars, film premieres, numerous sports and entertainment events, communal viewing of sports events on a large screen, and dance classes with renowned Zumba and salsa instructors.<\/p>
For the 13th consecutive year, the international media In Your Pocket organized voting for the best providers in Ljubljana in six categories covering culture, cuisine, shopping, experiences, and caf\u00e9 offerings.
