In recent years Ljubljana has truly turned into something of a paradise for food-lovers, with countless features published in the international press, locally-run food tours and food-walks becoming increasingly favoured, and food-related events such as Restaurant Week, Odprta Kuhna and November Gourmet Ljubljana turning into some of the most popular activities for both tourists and locals alike.<\/p>\n

Of course here at In Your Pocket we\u2019ve been championing Ljubljana\u2019s and Slovenia\u2019s burgeoning culinary scene almost since our inception, and have been running our Best Restaurant poll in some form or another since all the way back in 2010. For the 2019 edition we expanded the competition to a record 13 different categories in order to cover as many of Ljubljana’s diverse foodie venues as possible.<\/p>\n

As usual, our editorial team has narrowed them down to shortlists of finalists, and we then left the final decision up to our local readers, with voting open to the public from 2-15 September. The final results can be found below, and will also be included in our upcoming Oct\/Nov issue.\u00a0<\/p>\n
