In today’s turbulent world, defence, security, rescue, protection and healthcare are key in preventing the consequences of natural disasters, epidemics and wars. Institutions that demand new equipment, gadgets and skills, and the professions and manufacturers that develop and supply them are well aware of this. Once again you will all be welcome guests at the 9th biennial International Defence, Security, Protection and Rescue Fair SOBRA, which will take place from 21 to 24 September 2023 in Gornja Radgona, where Slovenia, Austria, Croatia, Hungary and the world are closest!
Breakthrough providers of equipment, gadgets, services, tools and weapons to tackle modern risks will be visited by procurement decision-makers and numerous members of rank services and voluntary organisations. They will also be visited in large numbers by all those who want to take responsible steps to protect themselves, their families, their health and their property. They want to familiarise themselves with new offers and get first-hand information from the exhibitors.
In addition to the most modern products, the business, professional, rank and civilian public will be attracted to the fair by the interesting professional exhibitions, business and expert meetings, educational events, dynamic presentations and professional advice.
Along with manufacturers and business providers, the Ministry of Defence of the Republic of Slovenia, the Slovenian Army, the Ministry of the Interior, the Police, the Administration of the Republic of Slovenia for Protection and Rescue, the Firefighters’ Association of Slovenia and other key organizations will showcase their organization, personnel potential, skills and know-how. They will present their cooperation with the economy and the civil sphere, as well as international integration for the defence of the country, the safety of citizens, protection and rescue, and medical care.
Different generations of the Slovenian Armed Forces will present their skills, equipment, experience from international missions as well as opportunities for participating in the defence of the country. The Slovene Military Orchestra the Slovenian Guard and top athletes from the Slovenian Armed Forces will perform.
The Slovenian Police will demonstrate techniques, equipment and procedures for ensuring security and protection of property. Police officers will be on hand to help visitors with advice. The Police Orchestra will provide an unforgettable musical experience.
The Administration of the Republic of Slovenia for Protection and Rescue, Civil Protection and the operational structures of non-governmental organizations will present new equipment, experiences and methods of raising awareness for prevention, protection, rescue and assistance.
The Firefighters’ Union of Slovenia, which unites 120 firefighter unions, more than 1,340 firefighter associations and has over 165,000 members, of which over 40,000 are operational firefighters, has proven its superior readiness to protect and rescue also during the last fires in the Slovenian Karst region. At the fair, it will organize professional meetings and a rescue exercise in cooperation with the Slovenian Army and the Police. Youth and veteran competitions will be held on Saturday, and the members’ firefighting national competition on Sunday. In cooperation with the Administration of the Republic of Slovenia for Protection and Rescue, the 10th competition in technical rescue in the case of a traffic accident will also take place.
