Experience rich culinary traditions, quality local produce, excellent wines and a superb gastronomic event – the Velvet Dinner among the vineyards.
This year, we will again prepare an unforgettable experience for you: in the company of 150 guests, you will be able to indulge in culinary delights at a 70-metre-long table stretching under Maribor’s famous Calvary, served by 80 students.
The event will feature top Slovenian chefs who will prepare delicious dishes using fresh and locally produced ingredients with the help of students from the Maribor Secondary School of Catering and Tourism and students from the Maribor Higher Vocational School of Catering and Tourism. The menu will include traditional Slovenian as well as modern cuisine (a choice of meat or meatless fish menu), and will be rounded off with the best local wines.
The event will take place in a unique venue next to the vineyard of the descendants of the oldest vine in the world, under Maribor’s famous Calvary.
