The Sajára Brass Quintet is a promising young ensemble comprising five excellent musicians from Spain. Their energy, technical proficiency and broad repertoire combine to produce unique interpretations of classical and contemporary works for brass ensemble. Sabrina Navarro (trumpet) is an experienced musician and singer who performs with various ensembles. She is a member of the Jove Orquesta de la Generalitat Valenciana (Valencia Autonomous Community Youth Orchestra) and teaches at music schools in the Valencian Community. Juan Micó (trumpet) is a member of the Orquestra Simfònica del Vallès (Vallés Symphony Orchestra) and a student at the Royal Conservatroy of Brussels. He is also a past winner of the prestigious Alberic International Trumpet Competition. Ángel Mourente (horn) performs with the Joven Orquesta de la Universidad de Valencia (University of Valencia Youth Orchestra) and the Jove Orquestra. He also collaborates actively with various music societies in the Valencian Community. Adrián Vera (trombone) is a member of the Joven Orquesta Nacional de España (Spanish National Youth Orchestra) and the Schleswig-Holstein Festival Orchestra. He also performs with the Jove Orquestra. Rafael Ferreros (tuba) is a member of the Jove Orquestra as well and the quartet Tuba’s Noise, alternating between the tuba and the euphonium with the latter. He also collaborates regularly with various music societies in the Valencian Community.
The Future Saxophone Quartet consists of students from the Castellón Superior Music Conservatory Salvador Seguí and saxophonists Oscar Orenga, Andreu Lorente, Antonio Roselló and Aitor Oron. Oscar is an outstanding soprano saxophonist who graduated with distinction. He has attended prestigious masterclasses given by well-known contemporary saxophonists including Arno Bornkamp, Vincent David and Marie-Bernadette Charrier. Andreu Lorente (alto saxophone) also graduated this year. He has performed at festivals and attended masterclasses with some of the world’s most renowned saxophonists, including Nikita Zimin and Arno Bornkamp. Antonio Roselló (tenor saxophone) is currently a fourth-year saxophone student and first-year piano student. He has attended saxophone masterclasses with notable musicians such as David Pons and Antonio García. Aitor Orón (baritone saxophone) is currently a final-year saxophone student. He has attended masterclasses with such influential saxophonists as David Pons, Tomás Jerez, Arno Bornkamp, Nikita Zimin and Claude Delangle. He has participated in international competitions such as Competition for Young Saxophonists Villa de Madridejos, winning a second prize, and Andorra International Competition – Youth Sax. He is also a past winner of the City of Manises International Chamber Music Competition.
