Susie Wang is a Norwegian theatre collective founded in 2017 by Trine Falch, Martin Langlie, Mona Solhaug and Bo Krister Wallström. Their artistic careers have been marked by a horror trilogy about human nature. They are active in both the national theatre and on the independent scene, and their productions have been described by theorists as theatre of the past and the future in one.
The Hum is a performance that brings illusion back to the theatre in a contemporary way. The audience finds themselves by the sea, following the intimate story of a couple who discover they are on the wrong beach. But they are not alone, there is also Kim, a tourist who has signed up for a snorkelling course. Under the hot sun, Susie Wang brings lust, eroticism, sensuality and takes us from the theatre to nature, to the seaside, where things seem clear to us without really being clear. The first part of a trilogy about human nature, it is the thriller of the summer – chilling, strange and disturbing.
